1. Free License Terms
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International
1.1 You are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
1.2 Under the following terms:
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit to OpenSourceTerracore, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
- NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
- ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
1.3 Additional Free License Terms:
- This license applies to all OpenSourceTerracore technologies including MycoForge, FreshLock Pods, and related research
- No fees or royalties for non-commercial use
- Charities, educational institutions, and developing nations have unlimited free access
- All improvements must be shared back to the community under the same license
2. Commercial License Terms
Commercial Manufacturing and Distribution License
2.1 Commercial Rights Granted:
- Manufacture and sell OpenSourceTerracore technologies
- Use trademarks and branding for commercial products
- Access to technical support and documentation
- Early access to improvements and new features
2.2 Commercial License Tiers:
- Small Business: $2,000 AUD one-time + 2% royalty on units sold
- Medium Business: $5,000 AUD one-time + 1.5% royalty on units sold
- Large Corporation: $15,000 AUD one-time + 1% royalty on units sold
2.3 Commercial License Requirements:
- Maintain product quality and safety standards
- Provide quarterly sales reports for royalty calculation
- Include attribution to OpenSourceTerracore in product documentation
- Maintain compatibility with open source versions
3. Improvement Sharing Agreement
Core Principle: Commercial success funds free innovation
3.1 Improvement Timeline:
- All improvements developed under commercial licenses must be released to the free version within 12 months
- Critical safety and performance improvements must be released within 6 months
- Commercial licensees receive 6-month exclusive access to new features
3.2 Protection of Commons:
- The free version will always contain at least 80% of the functionality of commercial versions
- No features critical to basic operation will be withheld from the free version
- All manufacturing specifications remain available in the free version
4. Governance and Dispute Resolution
4.1 Governing Law:
- These agreements are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia
- Any disputes will be resolved through mediation in Adelaide, South Australia
4.2 Termination:
- Commercial licenses may be terminated for breach of terms with 30 days notice
- Free license is perpetual and cannot be revoked for compliant use
- Upon termination, commercial rights cease but existing inventory may be sold for 90 days
